Wanting to start a site with a job board for the Quad Cities market, I felt very lucky to find that that an appropriately descriptive domain name, QCJobFinder.com, not in use or registered. Then, setting about the task of finding a job board script, I found one that had most of the features that I needed already built in for a very reasonable price.

The script is well written, and easy to customize. Thus far, customizing it to adapt to the site has required very little coding aside from HTML and CSS changes. As the site grows in popularity, there will surely be more modifications that I will need to make, but I think that the basic structure will allow for the changes to be made easily.

In marketing the site to employers, I am offering a special promotion in which the employer is able to try the site for free. Upon registration, the first job posting is FREE. In this way, it is a no risk proposition for anyone with a job opening to give my site a try.
